Mike Foley and Cindy Taplin
August 2 - 29, 2015
Opening Reception during Gallery Hop, August 7, 7 - 10 p.m.
Originally inspired by The Business Journal's list of Most Influential People, Mike Foley's "CEO Cheerleaders" is a study of pop portraits and favorite faces captured in simple lines and rubber-stamp shapes.
Mike is a creative director and filmmaker who is seduced by the dangerous world of fine art.
In "RURALITY: Here and There." Cindy Taplin is showing a group of paintings largely based on her recent travels to northern California and southern England, but also including a scene or two just a short drive from Winston-Salem. The exhibit displays both architectural and landscape paintings, the two subjects for which she is best known.
Cindy is a native of Forsyth County. She earned a B.A. in Mathematics at Salem College, where she also studied studio art. She paints full time in her studio in the Arts District of Winston-Salem.
