Don Green andLea Lackey-Zachmann

Artworks Gallery is presenting a two-person exhibit with Don Green showing steel sculpture, and Lea Lackey-Zachmann showing acrylic paintings and photographs.

Lea Lackey-Zachmann is showing acrylic paintings, photographs and acrylic painted photographs. Her work is concerned with images inspired by microscopic (10x and 40x) views of plants that explore cellular construction with an appreciation for the various levels and layers of being. Ms. Zachmann has a BA from Winthrop University and an MFA from the University of NC at Greensboro. She is presently teaching at High Point University.

Don Green is showing large and small steel sculpture with a landscape theme. He has an Advertising Art Degree from the Amer. Academy of Art in Chicago, Ill., a BFA from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois, and a MFA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He recently had his sculpture exhibited in Chapel Hill's Public Arts Comm. and on Trade St. as part of Winston-Salem's River Run Film Festival Art Walk.
The opening reception is Friday, April 4, 7 - 10 PM, coinciding with the Gallery Hop in the Arts District.
The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
