Diane Nations
Artist Statement
I have always been interested in the mysterious and spiritual aspects of life. My works are often symbolic landscapes of my inner life. The last few years the teachings and writings of Carl Jung have been the focus of my work. My hope is that my art will encourage the viewer to pause, be present in the moment, and be open to his or her own inner reflections.
”As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.”
Jung, 1963, Memories, Dreams, Reflections, page 326
