My process of creating art is combination of intuition and observation of self and my environment. I begin with a sketched composition or layout, but I often step out of the lines and allow the creative process to flow. My inspirations come from nature, memories, meditations, and sometimes just pure imagination. Often I incorporate symbols of transformation, metaphors, and ancient architecture in my work. From an early age, I had both a spiritual thirst and a desire to create. Most of my work is representational.

My professional training and experience is Interior Design. Thirty years of experience at a drafting table creating interior spaces was helpful as I transitioned from interior designer to artist. Through the years, I have had the privilege of taking art classes from many local and regional artists and have exhibited in numerous local and national shows, along with community exhibits.

My hope is that my art will encourage the viewer to pause and be present in the moment and open himself or herself whatever inner reflection occurs.
