Virginia Ingram (1929 - 2015)

Virginia Ingram received a BFA and MFA at UNC-G concentrating in printmaking and graphic art. After graduating she worked at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Medical Art and later at UVA. She worked as a Book Designer at John F. Blair Publishing until she began freelancing graphic art. She exhibited with the Five W-S Printmakers at SECCA in 1983 and in Full Circle: A 40th Anniversary tribute to the Five W-S Printmakers. Other exhibits have been Salem Fine Arts Gallery, 2001; Secca Collects, 2004, 2005; A Series of Woodblock prints, Salem College Fine Arts Gallery, 1999. She has work in many collections: Weatherspoon Gallery, UNCG; Jackson Library, UNCG; Duke University; Wake Forest University; Winston-Salem State University and many private collections. Ms. Ingram is an exhibiting member of Piedmont Craftsmen and Associated Artists of W-S. She was the 2004 Artist of the Year for the Sawtooth Center of Visual Art in W-S, NC.
